Location of Work: Picatinny Arsenal, NJ

Travel: Four (4) CONUS trips not to exceed five (5) days each – Fort Bragg, NC and Warren, MI.

Summary: Provide Munitions Survivability and Logistics and Munitions Predictive Life Services functional expertise in:

  • Munitions survivability policy and procedures while supporting RDT&E technology development initiatives as a tactical functional expert;
  • How soldiers interact with the associated munitions packaging, serving as a functional stakeholder assisting in the development of new ideas and concepts.
  • Interacting with the Sustainment Center of Excellence to better understand soldier priorities and serve as the local voice of the customer when developing new project concepts.
  • Serving as functional interface with relevant Project/Product Managers to ensure FCD project investments are synchronized with an appropriate Program of Record to reduce risk during transition activities
  • Supporting the development of technology demonstration prototypes that will inform the TRADOC Centers of Excellence through the Capabilities Needs Assessment so JCIDS can incorporate validated analytics while authoring new requirement documents.

Description:

  • Responsible for interacting with the Sustainment Center of Excellence to better understand soldier priorities and serve as the local voice of the customer when developing new project concepts.

Requirements:

  • Possess knowledge of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process and the ability to decompose these requirements to drive Science and Technology (S&T) and RDT&E brain storming sessions when developing new packaging concepts
  • Possess knowledge of the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) G8 Munitions Division and their process of determining Munitions Survivability and Logistics, Improved Munitions Packaging and Munitions Predictive Life policy.
  • Available to start working on-site in Building 455 at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ immediately after task award
