Charles F. Day & Associates, is currently seeking individuals interested in contingent positions at Ft. Sill, OK. Positions are contingent upon contract and TO awards. Anticipated awards dates begin May 2018.

Location: Ft. Sill, OK

Clearance: Minimum Secret Clearance

Travel: 25%

Education: Graduate of a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) or Forward Air Controller (Airborne) (FAC[A]) course of instruction, a bachelor's in a related field desired

Duties:

  • Provide support as JTAC Instructor/Evaluator (JTAC-I/E)
  • Provide classroom lecture, practical, simulator, and field instruction to JTAC students and JTACs in refresher syllabus in JCAS and call-for-fire tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP), to include instructing and monitoring the execution of live controls
  • Conduct evaluations of student performance throughout and make recommendations on the eligibility of each JTAC student for certification as a JTAC per the JCAS MOA
  • Conduct practice and graded currency controls for certified JTACs as directed by the JCAS branch (tasks during classes and currency control periods)
  • Develop and maintain the currency of the JTAC class syllabus ensuring it satisfies the requirements of the JCAS MOA and aligns with JP 3-09, JP 3-09.3, JFIREs and other sources of doctrine and TTP adopted by the JCAS Executive Steering Committee (ESC)
  • Provide government representative assistance with the NAWDC JTAC course and with maintaining joint staff accreditation as a JTAC school (tasks between classes)
  • Develop TTP, and review documented JCAS policy and doctrine, as needed
  • Support external commands, as needed, with JCAS subject matter expertise (tasks between classes)
  • Assist in the maintenance, operation, and upgrading of JCAS equipment tasks.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) or Forward Air Controller (Airborne) (FAC[A]) course of instruction
  • Current or previously certified as a JTAC or FAC (A) with:
    • EITHER: Three (3) years of active duty operational experience as a certified JTAC or FAC(A) while in an authorized JTAC or FAC(A) position
    • OR: Two (2) years of active duty operational experience as a certified JTAC or FAC(A) while in an authorized JTAC or FAC(A) position AND eight (8) years of active duty military experience
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Joint fires experience (preferred)
