Charles F. Day & Associates, LLC is accepting resumes for Combat Operations Analyst III Study Leader for work contingent upon contract award.

Location of Work: White Sands Missile Range, NM

Clearance Requirement: Secret

Education: Possess a High School Degree and have been certified as branch qualified by the appropriate service school. Have completed a senior level NCO course or an Officer Branch Basic course or equivalent educational experience in non-military schools.

Duties:

 

  • Manage teams in an administrative and technical role.
  • Provide strategic military insight as needed.
  • Perform research and/or model and simulations support.
  • Perform status updates via presentations and/or verbally.
  • Communicate in-progress work to client.
  • Determine constraints and limitations in order to create an accurate timeline.
  • Resource allocation with regard to tasks assigned as per the contract.

 

Required Experience:

 

  • Provided military branch and functional specialties in the areas of doctrine, training, logistics, organization, materiel, soldier systems, tactics, techniques and procedures to a modeling, simulation and analysis team.
  • Serve as a simulation functional area model analyst.
  • Defined requirements for new functionality to be incorporated into the simulation; review design documentation and makes recommendations as to how best to model the new or revised functionality; conduct functional validation and testing of new or revised functionality, identify problems and recommends solutions, and review and test functional related database parameters; and develop functional validation and verification tests.
  • Conducted research on weapon system capabilities for incorporation into the simulation database; design, develop, write, and maintain simulation lesson plans to support simulation support teams; incorporate explanation and clarification of model functions and data parameters in the lesson plans, instructor notes, and fielding notes; conduct on-site simulation controller training; provide exercise support; provide workstation user personnel support in selecting the most appropriate simulation methodology to replicate tactical maneuvers; provide support in the development of workarounds to allow use of the selected technique in fulfilling the objectives of the simulation.
  • Have a minimum of 7 years work experience directly related to the duties listed under the main responsibilities of this posting with at least two of those years leading small teams using human-in-the-loop models
  • Awarding of the Functional Area 49 (either dual track or single track) is sufficient to meet the requirements. The Air Defense 1181 course is not an acceptable designation.

 

Desired Education/Experience:

 

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree and have been certified as branch qualified by the appropriate service school. Have completed a senior level NCO course or an Officer Branch Basic course or equivalent educational experience in non-military schools.
  • Manage teams in an administrative and technical role.

Special preference given to candidates who live in a Hub Zoned area.
