Charles F. Day & Associates, LLC is accepting resumes for Software Computer Analyst II/Software Wargame Developer for work contingent upon contract award.

Location of Work: White Sands Missile Range, NM

Clearance Requirement: Secret

Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (computer science, mathematics, engineering, or other math based degree)



  • Planning and the development of leading edge US Army combat simulation modeling programs
  • Improving the performance of the system as it processes complex behaviors of simulated soldiers and their interactions with the environment
  • Creating a user interface that is intuitive, user-friendly, and has a consistent look-and-feel
  • Guaranteeing high quality in all aspects of documentation and coding
  • Collaborating directly with other engineers and management
  • Preparing detailed specifications and requirements for software development.
  • Writing, tests, debugs, documents and maintains code in a collaborative team environment using project specific development environments, debuggers, revision control software and operating systems while following software configuration management practices and procedures.
  • Providing program support to include testing, debugging, and providing software updates to correct problems or enhance software capabilities.
  • Working closely with end-user to identify project or software shortfalls, problems, or improvements in a timely manner.
  • Applying knowledge of current technologies and applicable emerging technologies to assigned duties.


Required Experience:


  • Used the Java programming language to complete assignments in four or more classes while obtaining degree or at least one year of work experience programming in Java.
  • 3 or more years of work experience in combat model/simulation software development, preferably in Java or an object-oriented language (a combination of academic and or co-op/intern experience may be taken under consideration)
  • Familiar with one or more version control packages such as CVS, Subversion, Git, Perforce, etc.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Customer service oriented, specifically adept at "expectations management"
  • Effective analytical and problem solving abilities.


Desired Education/Experience:


  • Experienced programming in a modeling or simulations-gaming environment with Java
  • Recent project management/lead or business analysis experience
  • Familiar with NetBeans/CVS development environments

Special preference given to candidates who live in a Hub Zoned area.
